Uxcell A13082400Ux0288 Shaped Static Connector: Enhance Performance and Connectivity Review

Poor design, ground wire is too thin and the connection to the back of the black metal plate is so weak it broke on me. Judging by the photo I was expecting the wire to be 16 AWG, but the insulation turned out to be very thick, and in the end it turned out to be (I assume) 22 AWG.

Bought this to install under my workbench. Build Quality Let's start with rust. Although there was a good protective cover on the back covering the connectors, the nuts holding the jumpers were almost completely rusted, with rust present in various areas and around the edges of the conductive plate. Otherwise, the powder-coated case is very well insulated, which brings us to the second issue: There's no continuity between the keycaps and the ground wire, making them useless for ESD protection…

UPDATE: August 29, 2017 Looking further, the two snap links are for parking the bracelet. I've never seen a type where the latches for parking were included, even in MY ESD CERTIFICATION the courses I took only had the banana jack feature - some with one and some with two. However, due to the poor soldering of banana plugs (and bird's nest wires), I'm leaving the rest of my review unchanged and attaching a star. They're worth the price and I recommend them, but you'll probably have to re-solder
