I bought this to replace the Apple magnetic case which is almost $40. This case fully covers my iPad mini. It protects it from all sides, it's not too heavy and its transparent back allows you to show off your Apple logo for those who really care. So this case and cover fit perfectly. It seems to protect well and the back cover is "grippy" so it doesn't slip out of your hands like many others.
