Two problems with this product Black air vent. White screws. No, you shouldn't be able to see the screws, but they still appear to have snapped off. It's very difficult to snap blinds into place when the wall you're mounting them to is weak.

I didn't get anything like this. It was a cheap, fragile item with two small handles that could slide in and out to quench the heat. They stick out about an inch so you can hit them or your dog will just wag his tail.

I bought this because I needed a closable vent. It doesn't close completely! It leaves a 1/8 to 1/4 inch hole all the way around. It still releases the same amount of air, but only pushes it out. It was nice, good quality, but when you need to close the vent, it doesn't work.

We have a bunk house in our camper and the stove blows so HOT it's 20 degrees hotter than the rest of our camper. I bought this to see if it would help and we installed it in minutes and it works AMAZING for our problem. My son no longer drips a sweat camping while the rest of us are freezing in other parts of the trailer.

Terrible. The base is too close to the wall it's bolted to so you can't turn the vent in the right direction. I had to build it from a wall unit using flat washers to snap the vent to the collar and allow it to rotate as intended. Looks terrible. This item is easy to install. The hardest part was snapping the lid back into place after I installed and screwed the base on. I needed this to try to conduct heat into my caravan's bathroom. The bedroom fan (which I replaced with a Valterra) was right next to the stove and while the bedroom was nice and warm I had to try to spread the heat evenly. The bedroom is still warmer than the bathroom but I use the heater next to the bathroom when we are awake.

Some reviews have complained that these vents are not good but I believe they are correctly described. They have two levers that increase or decrease the flow rate. They never close completely, as there is always a small amount of air flowing through the two doors. The hardest part of the installation was fitting the two halves together on either side of the panel. The tolerances were so tight that I struggled to snap the third locking point. Will test how durable it is.

Our old air vents in our RV are cracked and yellowed. I wanted to get a new update and bought a few of them. Installation is easy, but spinning the fan is nearly impossible without feeling like you might damage the register. In the closed position, two cheap tongues protrude from the register. Since they are installed on our sofa cabinet, these tabs are likely to break quickly. I cannot recommend these as a replacement for the more expensive direct replacement with traditional dials that open…
