Valterra Sewer Compartment Assembly Thumb Review

Worked great but not used as intended. Therefore, assessing the ease of installation can be misleading as it was a complex customization.

Very weak, the latch broke under slight pressure from the drain hose. Most likely not enough for an external application. Look elsewhere for better quality. Surprised Valterra put its name on this bullshit.

after putting it on I put my hose in and locked the door came back later it broke from the hose pressure the end of the lock opens again , but doesn't stay. I used some epoxy, it seems to be holding. I sent it back but I already glued the tube on it and the 4" black tube doesn't fit, had to use a sleeve, waste of money

Worked perfectly as a filler for my diesel heater. These diesel tanks spill a large amount of fuel through a vented lid. This hatch successfully got him outside. It's not sealed, which is good. The tank must be vented. I cut out a 4" round piece of sheet metal and painted it white to fill the main hole in the back. Sunroof with pre-keying) Hopefully it doesn't yellow.
