Does not work best outdoors

This product is well made, but there is a problem. The hole for the 30 amp plug on the underside is too small and stiff. To get mine to work I would have to break off the bottom and enlarge it.

Pros
  • Heavy construction
Cons
  • No machine gun

As described - works perfectly

too excited. This is a plastic cover. But it does exactly what it needs to do. The small door only slides to reveal the wiring area when it does so it can still be closed Nice feature

Pros
  • 4-1/4" diameter
Cons
  • crumpled

Less than described.

Description states cable trap is for a 3" cutout but entry is only 2 1/2" wide. It doesn't properly fill the 3" hole in my trailer and my cable connector doesn't even come close to fitting through it. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Cutout Required - 3"
Cons
  • Unsure

Looks a lot better than the original

I've been restoring an old Scotty hard shell camper for 5 years. Camping in it too. The hatch of the electric cable, which was in the mobile home, did not close with a lid. This new one fits like a glove and really makes this area look that much better. The old one was removed, the new one greased by a plumber, installed and done in 10-15 minutes.

Pros
  • UV resistant plastic parts
Cons
  • Replacement available

I had to change it.

Well made unit. The only problem I had was not getting the plug in. My fork will definitely not go through the housing. I also have a Walmart 30 amp extension cord that won't go through. I had to cut out the back of the case to make it work. Not difficult to do. I used a hole saw to open it up. I think a person could use side cutters to remove part of the unit to allow the plug to pass if you don't have the correct hole saw.

Pros
  • Suitable for 30A cable
Cons
  • Operating speed
