Vans Authentic Black Rubber Men's Shoes - Unisex Design Review

These shoes are very stylish and I appreciate them very much. Cute, tough, sometimes cool Sk8er Boi. However, they are narrow and quite uncomfortable. No I didn't get the "wrong size", they were right, just not as much flexibility as I wanted. Bursitis for DayZ. Anyway, they're cute.

Either these are fake shoes or Vans quality has dropped a lot. In total they were worn for about 10 hours before they literally started falling apart. Don't waste your money, these shoes are complete garbage.

Love them and have only had them less than a few months. I wear them 2/3 days a week with socks and short toenails. Three days ago I noticed a hole next to my sock and it got bigger the same day so I stopped using them. Both shoes have a scratched inner layer (something like a rubber layer). Given my moderate usage, I have questions: 1. Shouldn't they last a little longer? 2. Did I receive a defective pair? I mean less than 2 months.

Ordered black vans with rubber soles below. They arrived a day before the expected delivery date. In the picture on Amazon, the colors look a bit lighter/more faded than they really are, which I think is better. The black is darker, the eyelets for the laces are not gold but more of a light copper which I think goes better with the rubber sole. I have narrow flat feet so these shoes fit me like a glove. Good. I used to have real Vans - same looks and all. I don't know if they are real because regular Vans have NEVER done this to my ankle/heel. So I've had many pairs of these classic vans and there's a reason the design hasn't changed much over the years. I really like these shoes, although I forgot that they take a few days to break in, especially if you have flat feet like me. The build quality is excellent. Good quality. The vans are great but this salesman is either joking or just super disorganized. I've ordered them twice. The first pair I received were black slip-ons instead of red laces, but the packing list said red laces. So I reordered. The second pair came in the form of beige lace-up shoes. The delivery note said "red" again. I won't try a third time.
