Vantec NexStar 2 5 Inch Drive MRK 515ST Review

I bought this because I wanted to try different operating systems on my desktop computer. My primary drive is a 2.5" SSD so this was the perfect product. Installation into the 3.5" open drive bay on the front of my PC was quick and easy, and the caddy easily mounts to new drives. Both my SSD and another 2.5" hard drive fit in comfortably, and the caddy inserted the drive nice and neatly, with a nice click to indicate it made contact. For the price it really couldn't be better.

Works great. However, the LED indicator is so bright and lights up all the time when there is no data activity. Working at dusk will defiantly affect your concentration.

Never used a 2.5 inch removable tray before. And although this block doesn't have a lock or security, it fits my needs perfectly. other operating system or installed when I want. I also play with virtual machines from time to time, but I like to switch physical disks. The blue activity indicator is bright, but that doesn't bother me.

Fairly basic product but works perfectly, easy to install, includes all the hardware I need and some cables I don't need. Has a very bright blue access light which I could do without.
