Because they are so thin the wax cools so quickly that you can't even use both sides of the paper unless you are treating a large area like legs and placing them in one spot. Time. And the wax is thin, which works to an extent, but if you have thick hair like me, it just won't cut it. I bought these strips to use on my eyebrows. They were very easy to cut into small pieces and did a great job cleaning under and above the eyebrows. After that, you must use the residue remover wipes provided with the product to remove any remaining residue. The size of the pads is great for the feet. Didn't buy for this reason but now that I have so many to spare I'll try on my feet
