I've been wearing these leggings for a few years now (on my third pair). I use them all winter for cycling. They keep my boots and shoes clean and help keep my feet warm. There is only one flaw in the design of these gaiters and that is the sock that goes under the toe of the shoe. It is made of a thin material that does not stand up to walking in leggings.
