Loose handle works best with hammers

The hammer worked fine for a month and then the head started to separate from the handle requiring glue to be used to hold it together

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Only available in white

Get it done in the US. - Hand tools

I used this ax exclusively for carpentry work. Good product. Now I change them for customization. It's a little pricey but worth it.

Pros
  • Tools and household items
Cons
  • I'll write later

Quality tool suitable for hammers

Would get 5 stars if fully sharpened and with guards/blades. On the other hand, this is a well-made, well-balanced American-made instrument that feels good in the hand. Rigger Axes are not common anymore, but in my opinion they are the most useful example.

Pros
  • power and hand tools
Cons
  • weak

Just like the ones I used as a carpenter in the 80's.

Well built, properly tempered product. Identical to what I used as a carpenter in the 80's, except mine doesn't have a straight grip curve. Fixed it in 10 minutes with the new "California Frame Handle" and you're good to go. These things are perfect for 1x2 fire paths since you can cut them with an axe. Worth every penny, as are ALL instruments made in the USA.

Pros
  • Hammers
Cons
  • Requires a socket
