I brought two sets; one for my niece and one for my daughter. I don't live with my niece so I don't know about her but my daughter's necklace broke while I was wearing it the day after Christmas. It looks very nice and even lies comfortably in the hand; it's not made to last forever. As it is sold to little girls I expected it to last more than a day.

I should have read the reviews before ordering this. This is not a real "thick bubblegum chain". I have ordered several of these necklaces here from Revain and the quality has been much better than this one. The beads in this necklace are smaller, lighter and cheap looking. The pearl looks like it will fall off after a few wears. In the future I will be more careful to order the original and not this cheap plastic version.

The bracelet comes with an elastic band that can be slipped over the child's hand. My 17 month old doesn't have this --- I bought this necklace set but if your child can take it I held it on my arm for a hot second and it was cute. The necklace has a lobster clasp and stiff cord (thin metal I think?) that is very strong. My daughter is quite picky about accessories and this survived an all day wedding.
