Ideal complement to a ski or snowmobile helmet. Got one for my daughter, husband and son in law and they go crazy over them. Keep the head warm and protect it from small bumps and other things inside the helmet. Not very good for the hair, but who cares?

Do not wash! When painted with cheap paint. If it gets wet - sweat, water, whatever - the ink will transfer to whatever it touches. When I blew the snow away, my face and shirt collar were covered in ink. Unfortunately, I threw it in the dryer before realizing that the inside of the dryer is now ruined—navy blue ink all over the place that won't wash out. Any fabrics he touched are also ruined.

Not quite sure what to do with this. I wore it once and it's not bad but it's quite thin. It keeps my head and neck warm while on the bike, but not really. Here's the kicker: it sort of redirects my breath to my glasses. Strange, it's not so bad that I can't see it, just a minor inconvenience that I wasn't expecting. I will still wear it as I have absolutely nothing to cover my head with.

The seam for the face mask is right on the front of the face which is odd to me, it stands out. Also, it doesn't keep out the cold very well, the wind cuts through pretty easily. The upside, however, is that it folds up into a neat little package and retains some heat, but I wouldn't recommend it for snowmobiling. I give it 3 stars as it met my need to go from my car to the office without freezing completely.

Although this is meant to be worn under a snowmobile helmet, I bought this for my son who shovels snow in Wisconsin. It is light and covers the nose, cheeks, neck and forehead well. Simply slip under your mouth for a quick drink from a water bottle to stay hydrated. A bonus is that you can pull the large eye hole over your head if you want to keep your head and face open without having to remove them entirely; it just sits in cozy folds around the neck. I recommend and buy again.

I needed a combination headgear to keep the inside of my motorcycle helmet clean after work and to have neck and face protection. This works well in mild weather, not extreme cold. This is a really inexpensive way to add extra protection to your head, neck and face when it's cold. I bought it for my first attempts at skiing and for tubing the next day. It works, it wicks sweat well, really nothing wrong with that. I read other reviews about the stitching but wasn't particularly embarrassed. The product was cheap and I didn't need it for sport use but to wear a talisman under my head. As I was hoping, it kept the sweat out of my head, which is a good thing. Keeps it clean and odor free. The seam is right in the middle of your face, but that didn't seem to bother me. My glasses didn't fog up as much as previous masks. My only concern is that if I try to open my mouth to speak, the balaclava will get in my mouth. I just had to get used to it and wash it after each use. That was to be
