A cute way to keep butter soft

I love oil bells and after my last one broke I needed a new one. This is a good durable pottery, the whale is adorable. It keeps the oil at an angle when out of the water section. I wasn't sure I'd like the angled seating position as my last one had a flat grip and sat upright. I find that this design is actually sturdier so this was a big surprise.

Super cute design. Keeps oil fresh.

I had never heard of the butter bell before it arrived. When I explored this idea, I was intrigued. This particular bell does exactly what it's supposed to. Butter at room temperature stays fresh and spreadable. No more worrying about softened butter going rancid or having to wait for chilled butter to soften enough to spread on top. The whale design is very cute and the color is very reminiscent of one of the ultra high-end retailers.

I changed the water every day, but something strange seemed to be growing in the room.

I've wanted a butter dish for a long time and was glad I had the opportunity to try it. I'll say I'm on the fence about this. I'll assume I'll just use a regular butter dish and leave that on the counter with no problem. It doesn't usually stay long enough for my house to go bad, but I thought it would be nice to have something to extend that time. While absolutely beautiful, it seems to have a bit of mold on it. I used a good quality oil that I packed and I changed the water every day. I…
