Laowa Venus Optics 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D Lens (Fuji X Mount) Review

What a concept, zero distortion! Thank you! I've done a lot of architectural fine art photography and this lens opens up a whole new world to both shooting and reducing post-processing time. I bought it for my Fuji M mount case and its tiny size is impressive too.

Fantastic lens. Very small in front of the camera. Nice click aperture and soft focus. The depth of field is so insane that you usually don't even need to focus on it. Simply set the aperture to infinity on the handy depth-of-field scale and shoot in aperture-priority mode.

Probably the best wide-angle lens for APS-C cameras to date. I know it's a manual lens. But who needs autofocus when you have such a wide lens? Especially with real estate I have to concentrate on infinity and start taking pictures. Imperceptible distortion, we can say that this is a lens without distortion, although the distortion is small. For $500 I'm more than good. Fuji X-t3 users.

Still learning how to work at max distance so far so good. Photos are bright and the lack of autofocus will rarely be an issue. The only thing I have is the after sales service and the lens hood and it *seems* to be securely attached but it isn't. As a result, I lost mine within the first week when it broke off and fell into a river too deep to follow. Which wouldn't be too bad, except I still don't have an answer on how to get a replacement.
