Works well with lightbulbs

Use this lightbulb in the hallway to give your houseplants some extra light as they are kept away from windows. Bought late January, now early April. I have it easily 6-8 hours every day. Whatever issues with short-lived bulbs have been mentioned in other reviews, they seem to have ironed out the kinks. I will be ordering more for other areas and buying a few more plants. :)

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Help grow houseplants.

Not sure how long they will last as Ihavr has only had them a few months. But they help my houseplants to grow! I have a darker living room, especially in winter. I turn them on about 6-8 hours a day and the plants grow almost as well in direct summer sun. I have a Thai pepper plant that started to mature with these lights.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

WARNING. These lamps are pressurized and can explode

I have used Verilux lamps for decades. They have wonderful tones. But this latest batch is nothing like the old bulbs. The bulbs are made in China from super thin glass and one of them just exploded on me! That has never happened to me. The bulb packaging contains a warning that the bulb is pressurized and an unexpected rupture (also known as an explosion) could result in personal injury, fire, or property damage.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
