Description of πŸ”§ Vestil D-HEAD-1 Express Open Deheader Ratchet

Unique design is similar to a household can-opener and is very easy to use. Cutting blade does not leave a sharp edge on the drum. Vice-grip style mechanism securely attaches unit to drum. Steel construction gives the austerity needed to open drums.

Efficient and effortless deheading

This tool makes deheading drums an effortless task, saving time and energy. It is well made and durable, capable of handling heavy-duty industrial work. The ratchet design allows for easy and quick adjustment for different sizes of drums. However, it is a bit pricey compared to other deheading tools in the market. Overall, a great investment for any industrial and scientific setting.

Pros
  • Efficient and quick way to open steel drums
Cons
  • Requires physical effort to operate, which could be tiring for extended use

Do not buy from Drum & Bail Handling Equipment

Do not buy this item if you are cutting the lids off the kegs. It doesn't work at all. I bought a cheaper one that works 10x more. Also, they don't offer returns. Just a note.

Pros
  • Unique design similar to a household can opener and very easy to use
Cons
  • Some small things

Don't buy this in the material handling category

Bought this after trying half a dozen blue tools from Northern Tool. I have to open about 100 barrels every 6 months. The "blue" type is hit or miss and doesn't last more than 6 kegs on average, this one open. It was very difficult to stay on the edge of the cask and one lid she cut had us walking around three times. NOT COST OF MONEY - DO NOT BUY!

Pros
  • Steel construction provides the rigidity needed to open kegs
Cons
  • Expensive
