Amazing shoes: Outdoor

*Update: the new 2020 models seem to be wider and softer. Big improvement! (see photo, blue color - 2020 model). After some use of the V-Run, V-Trail 2.0 and KSO EVO, this car is a great addition to the family. The perfect combination of a minimalist shoe with good grip and high-quality materials. You are wonderful too!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Ideal for people with flat feet.

I tried 5 fingers for the first time and since they are not available in the nearest store I had to measure my foot and decide on the size. I measured an 11 inch foot and chose a size 45 Vibram. But they are free. I could get better at 40. Regardless, these items are PERFECT for someone with flat feet. I've always strived to find shoes that won't damage nonexistent arches that I don't have. I wish I had tried them when they came out years ago. I will never buy another foot cover again. I am now

  • Elegant design

Great new addition: hiking & trekking

I've only been wearing 5 fingers for a few years. I'm a mechanic and I'm on my feet all day on concrete floors. Ever since I was a child, I've suffered from debilitating headaches every day. Since changing the way I walk (I walk on the balls of my feet) the headaches have almost completely disappeared and now I only get them for the usual reasons or when I walk wrong again. . (When my walking gets worse I have a headache for 2 hours.) The V-alpha seems to be of good quality and the design isโ€ฆ

Amazing feel and fit, 1 small closure

All I can say is I love them, they are not made for bad weather as they are not insulated and not waterproof. At the same time, I liked it so much that I ordered a pair of insulated ones. They feel incredible. I am a person who goes barefoot or just in socks as much as possible. Shoes are always too tight in the footwell. My little fingers were bent under the others, not bad, but getting worse. I've had them for 2 weeks and they already sit straighter and the pain in my lower back and legs hasโ€ฆ

Increase the size! for outdoor activities

I use V-Alpha for hiking, going to the beach etc. As casual shoes they are good but that's what I use V-Trek for. The V-Alpha has a slightly less aggressive profile and is slightly thinner overall than the other FiveFinger models, so I wouldn't recommend them as a first pair unless you're already used to wearing minimal shoes. I like them for "off-road" use. because they don't have laces to snag on the ground (an elastic loop is used instead) and while they're not waterproof, they dry quicklyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • questionable purchase for seniors

These don't last long.

5 months after buying these shoes and running/walking about 20 km/week a hole appeared in the thumb pocket (right shoe) and another hole in the adjacent toe. The right boot's new big toe had a crease that protruded into the adjuster, they rub against each other with use and hence the hole. Now I have to periodically pause the run to take off the right shoe and shake out the small pebbles. The top still looks almost new. They just don't last long, another issue is the underfoot protection asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Dull packaging

I really wanted to enjoy these shoes and for the first few months I did. I've always had issues with my feet so I figured going barefoot would be a great way to strengthen them. While this may be true, these shoes are honestly low quality at a premium price. I had another pair before that lasted about 3 months but figured these (made SPECIALLY for hiking) could last for years. My daily usage is 1-2 hours max as I mainly use it to walk around during lunch (I got it for reference in early May)โ€ฆ

  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There is one negative point

These hikers bring a new dimension to hiking

Vibram 5 Finger Minimalist Shoe Review I have owned a pair of Vibram water shoes for 20 years. I wear them often. They are still in great shape for their age. While hiking the Appalachian Trail in Massachusetts, I saw people wearing minimalist shoes, but I hadn't considered them...until now. I'm retired and have a lot more time to think about my health and things like hiking. After getting on the poles... far away... and getting comfortable, I unpacked my Vibram water shoes. Out of curiosity Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • There are cons

Let me start by saying that I have not been compensated in any way for this review. By the time you get to the end you might think it is, but this is my own 100% honest opinion. I've been wearing Vibram V-Alpha hiking boots for a week now. I feel competent enough to speak about good form and function. First, let me give you a little background story: I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find shoes that don't at least torture my feet. I was angry at the sadists who have been designing shoesโ€ฆ
