Overall, a great buy for anyone looking for a high-quality portable radio.

This product is advertised as plug and play but the inside says you still need to have it professionally installed as you plug it in have to go to the radio antenna. Yes, I also have a car stand adapter. I can't tell if it works or not because I won't force anyone to install it as I bought it because it said plug and play.

I'm going to my fifth radio now. The radio tape recorder works fine for two or three years, then something is wrong with it and it's time to change it. This is a separate issue with each radio that needs to be replaced. That aside, the radio sounds great, and even regular AM sounds a lot better than standard AM.
