Vitabath Moisturizing Gelee Original Spring Review

I used this product in the 80's and loved it! Don't think that the fragrance is in any way more intense than the original. But more importantly in that order, nothing - I mean nothing - pisses me off more than a bottle pump that won't open! And no doubt no matter how you twisted the pump, it refused to surface. I will never order again! A waste of $23 that I couldn't afford to lose. You've definitely lost a customer

This is not at all what I knew and loved in the 80's. It dried out my skin and the sharp chemical smell lingers and won't wash off. The fumes really burn my nose. It leaves a disgusting neon green slime stain on the skin that needs to be wiped off with a washcloth. Then the rag takes a full minute under running water to rinse away the stain. It even leaves a green stain on the tub. Seriously, what is this shit?

This is a HORRIBLE product. The smell is disgusting and I'm sure no one would want to sit in the stench of this newly formed chemical which also doesn't blister and also has the most disgusting smell. Those who knew and loved the old version of Vitabath will be particularly disappointed. I only wish I had taken the numerous other reviews and warnings more seriously lest I be at the $$. I discovered the green Vitabath bath many years ago when I was living in Germany and I really liked the fresh green scent. To my dismay, the scent seems to have changed quite a bit over the years, and not for the better in my opinion. I would not have paid as much as this product would have cost if I had known the scent had changed so much for the worse.

I read reviews that said Spring Green's formula had changed and I decided to purchase anyway. Through the internet and my old/new bottles, I was able to compare the old formula to the new. The ingredients are basically the same, but they've certainly changed the "taste". In my opinion, the new fragrance is "quite normal”. I was very disappointed in my purchase having grown up using Vitabath Green as an excellent bath product. It used to be incredibly fragrant — a bath filled the tub with scent — and lathered so well you only needed about a tablespoon for your entire bath or shower. Having used Vitabath Green for most of my adult life I needed to remove the ingredient that gave it its great smell. After trying many substitutes only the cucumber based soap was able to preserve my memories of Vitabath Green and I have to admit I bathed less. After receiving an email from Vitabath himself and reading numerous Revain reviews claiming the scent is back, I took a chance - so if I say you hit the jackpot, you can bring to the bank!
