DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY

The quality of this product is terrible. In the last picture they show it completely wrong. White-brown, white-green, white-blue and white-orange are not easy to see there. All of them are some pure color kings where you can see through the cord. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY.

If 1 km has gone overboard.

I used it to convert a house for a concert and it worked! The build is similar to most other cables I've used. Uses this on Keystone (press in) and with RJ-45 tabs. Chased him through walls and floors. It has a strong body and good flexibility. Most importantly, it works and I now have Gig-E and PoE at home!

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Sad equipment

Learn from my mistake.

Do not use for POE cameras. Used the cable to power the POE camera and the problems started right away. I did a google search after already running the cable outside and found that the CCA cable cannot be used for POE cameras. Just connect everything with a certified Cat5 cable and everything works perfectly. I ended up buying a box of 500 cat5e for about 100.00 and everything works great. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES. DO NOT BUY THIS CABLE.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Cheap junk is best in cables and connectors

I have made jumper cables before using any other cable and they have always worked. That sucks. I tried to make a 25 foot cable and it didn't work. Cut off the ends and try again. Not good. Tried a third time, still an error. I have a tester but there isn't much. You get what you pay for and it's a shame I didn't try it when I first bought it. I would return it, but I just went through the window for it. I think I could use it to hang clothes.

There are breaks in the cable that you cannot trust

It was an unreliable cable. I was able to use it for short runs, but when I tried to run it 100 feet on two separate occasions, a break was found in the cable, meaning I had to cut it in half again until I found a segment that was bad . deny. It's an utter pain when you have to walk into the scan room to even get it working. It just can't be trusted. I wouldn't buy it again unless I put a connector on each end and tested for continuity when it arrived. Send it back if it doesn't work. It's…

Two orange strands are not equal to one brown one!

Like an idiot I didn't open the cable to inspect the strands before use. I ran it all the way through my house in the attic and down the walls. After hours of installation I finally got around to hitting. Instead of orange/orange-white and brown/brown-white threads, this product has 2 orange threads with orange-white and another shade of orange-white. Pooh! Now I have to determine the best guess and then check the cable each time to see which strands have been punched back. Extremely…

Thank goodness for great customer service Revains

This is NOT a category 5e cable. I've only been able to get connection speeds of around 30-40Mbps on many of the gigabit switches and NICs I've used with this cable. This is Cat 5 cable, NOT Cat 5e. I've troubleshooted other company's Cat 5e patch cords and was able to get gigabit throughput on all my hardware. I even double checked the wiring of my cap jewels to make sure something was wrong. So I use the new shorter keystone cables and more. Gigabit bandwidth is not allowed, I used Cat5e and…

  • Solid construction

CAT5e must be pure copper!

This product description is misleading and may be false advertising. You cannot call a cable that is not pure copper a CAT5e cable. PERIOD. Bought 3 of them and thought wow good price really good price if it was a real product. Return 2 unused cable boxes. Forced to leave the 3rd box I made 50ft cables out of. The Dangers of Using CCA Cables The performance and safety of CCA cables is fundamentally different. In fact, aluminum network cables violate the TIA and IEC standards for Cat5e and Cat6…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
