The block died after 3 months of use.

TL; DR He died after 3 months. I gave it 2 stars because at the time of writing this article there was no light in my garden for 3 days: the ballast blew up and reset my circuit breaker while I was on holiday. My friend who was helping with the watering thought he only showed up when the timer was off so unfortunately he didn't think anything was wrong. However, when I got home, I immediately knew something was wrong and began to understand. After attempting to restart the circuit, the device…

DO NOT BUY READ BELOW

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AND READ: I received this product on February 9th, 2019, today February 15th Bought in 2020. and my ballast stopped working. If only he worked 12/12 like most of us. 1 year and 6 days usage of this product. The warranty for this product is 1 year. I have several other Vivosun ballasts and they haven't had any issues. Save your money and don't buy!

Great digital ballast

The built in fan is a real bonus, it moves more air than expected. It replaced the Virtual Sun ballast which lasted 6 years. Has built-in reboot protection - a very nice feature that VS Ballast didn't have. Special note - we do not turn on/off the ballast when it should be on or off; We usually work either when the light should be on or off, depending on the situation.

This device is not compatible with other manufacturers. It uses a non-standard connector configuration.

Ballast for Vivosun can only be used with other products such as reflectors, hoods, etc. The connector they use for the lamp side, their ballast has a non-standard configuration and is therefore not compatible with other accessories. Their customer service department is not available on the phone, they play games with email, and they don't respond to customer requests for help.
