1. On arrival the device has no battery although the instructions say the battery is fully charged. It takes about 4 hours to charge.2. The Android operating system needs to be updated before you can do anything. Must have a charge of at least 50%.3. The Smartcast app requires an update. Then it gets weird that you have to open the app every time for it to work. 3b. When launching an app, swipe up. Otherwise it doesn't seem to work at all.4. He froze during WW4 casting. Had to switch to iPhone…

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish

Lying About Storage But Still Better Than The Original

When I received my Vizio TV and noticed how little storage the tablet remote was running, I contacted them to see if I could upgrade. They told me no, that wouldn't work. So I shared it. But after about 2 years the tablet broke and could no longer be charged or switched on. I tried using regular tablets but they were big and I would have preferred to just watch the show on a tablet. Revain tablets are dumb and don't like shutting down half of their streaming services. So I thought about…

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Sad Hardware

Low battery life and no 8G

Easy setup and syncs with TV. The battery life says 16 hours left but it actually means 2 hours if you use it. This is not 8G. I had 4.15GB and almost everything was used after adding 3 apps.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not the best

Very beautiful, beautiful technology, short-lived

I like this product very much. It looks very cool when using a small tablet as a remote control. However, after about a year the battery died and the charger stopped working. The screen also went completely black and wouldn't turn on. I recommend this product, but I do not recommend keeping it in a base where it is constantly charged so as not to burn it.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others

Cheap cell phone relief

I'm the worst buyer. I was looking for gift ideas for someone else and ended up seeing this Vizio "tablet" (it's basically a remote control). It's too weak for the person I bought for, but I thought it was a good deal so I took it. And it brings many benefits! To be honest, the biggest selling point of this tablet is the wireless charging station. For that reason it has replaced my phone as my morning alarm clock and looks a lot better. It's also good to have a tablet in case the Roku remote…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Fantastic home automation device

I bought several of these for a customer to use with a Crestron home automation system. This device is running the Android version of Crestron (after installing the Adobe Air client). As others have pointed out, apart from the Vizio app (which I deleted), this is a stock Android device. I compiled an existing version of my Crestron software and it ran unmodified on this device. At this price point it outperforms any Crestron device as well as Apple. An additional plus is the wireless charging…

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Damaged

Doesn't work with external USB camera

I bought this to use with an endoscope but it looks like the USB port on the device is only good for charging the battery. The information about Revain is wrong, it says it uses AA batteries, which it doesn't. Internally chargeable only. I do not recommend this.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Almost never
