Description of πŸ”§ VOTEX DP007: High-Quality Stainless Steel Engine Oil Drain Plug with Neodymium Magnet - Made in USA

PREMIUM QUALITY - Our Votex drain plugs are MADE IN USA. From the Stainless Steel bar stock material, CNC machine that cuts our plug right down to the hands that craft each individual one. We carefully and pridefully construct our plugs here in our home state of Wisconsin. This ensures that your plug will be manufactured with real quality stainless steel (Not Pot Metal) that will last for countless years to come. Included with the drain plug is an aluminum crush washer; Yes also MADE IN USA. HIGH TEMPERATURE NEODYMIUM MAGNET – Our plug uses a rare earth high strength neodymium magnet, rated specifically to function in high temperature environments extracting unwanted ferrous particles from your vehicles engine. Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, giving the strength to hold weights over 2.2lbs. This empowers our plug with enormous strength to effectively pull these unwanted metals out of your motor oil resulting in longer engine life. PREMIUM 304 STAINLESS STEEL – The drain plug market has a plethora of options which are constructed of aluminum. Aluminum is an inferior metal choice due to its strength and commonly shear/snap leaving you with a broken plug stuck in your oil pan. Our goal is to provide plugs of the highest quality standard, that starts with using a metal that will be strong enough to last years. Our steel is sourced from the states, promising not to be a weak recycled material often found in foreign metals. PROMISED PERFORMANCE - Our drain plugs use choice quality materials. Our magnet will extract small metal particles that are too fine for oil filters to catch along with capturing large metal shavings that plug filters. If you're not 100% satisfied with its quality or performance, return your drain plug for a full refund!. EASY TO INSTALL - Our plug will install in place of your current drain plug. It will arrive with an aluminum crush washer which is recommend to be replaced with every oil change. Simply wipe the magnet clean of debris during oil change. Perfect fit for my 987.1 Boxster

Looks good, the key will be at the next oil change. How easily is it removed? The factory and many aftermarkets use torx or hex nuts, this is a 19mm socket.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • Largely ok but...

Not flush with them - like it was then OEM

Looks like it's very well made so will be useful for more than one oil change, too bad it's not flush with the sump so could possibly something to be hit (unlikely , but there is) there was also a steel metal stain, I wonder how it will play with an aluminum oil pan, time tell me

Great quality made in the USA

Perfect fit for my 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S. because it was aluminum and was so soft and damaged when removed. I read some comments from some customers that it didn't flush all the way to the oil pan. It also didn't wash down into my car's oil pan, which isn't a problem as there are a lot more things protruding under the car than the oil pan anyway, and it doesn't bother me. I recommend to anyone who wants a very good quality drain plug. This is a good option on the market.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative impression

A few years ago I replaced the factory drain plug with an aluminum (magnetic) drain plug. The first block cracked and leaked... got another "improved" block and used it a few times until... yup cracked and leaked AGAIN! So annoyed! I found this STAINLESS STEEL device and WOW! It has a nice flat 17mm head and doesn't protrude any more than other parts of the car. Porsche Cayman. See, there's a fine line between feeling like the washer is being compressed and the threads loosening from excessive…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Useless features
