Incredibly stupid system. V-Tech aims to simplify the individual parts to make it easier for you to create your own tracks. It's quite difficult to connect separate systems to create a huge track. all the different parts of the track make the v-tech system inflexible. Why not make one piece at a 90 degree angle, one at a 45 degree angle, etc.? And stick to the man-woman system, not the woman-woman/man-man system. This toy leaves nothing to be desired. We bought this to pair with some other VTECH Go! Walk! Parts of Smart Wheels and it's very difficult to set them up to give you a closed loop. The pieces don't stick together well either, so after 20 minutes of trying to connect the road into a loop for kids to drive cars on, they fall apart in 2 seconds as kids pull or crawl across the road for another car. We are big fans of VTech Go! Walk! Smart cars and animals. We have many sentences. Both my almost 4 year old and my 1 year old play with it all the time. These animals work with vehicle sets and vice versa. The track is made of plastic and has a very high quality finish. The animals are funny and react differently to different points on the track and in play centers. My 1 year old got into trucks recently so I bought this cute set for him. He loves playing with it. I like this idea. But these parts don't make a very well connected route. (as is the case with wooden railroad tracks because there are so many different shapes of the track pieces themselves). For example, there are no tortuous paths with plugs/sockets. (All curved parts are only male or only female) And many different shaped traces. If you have multiple VTech playsets and want to connect them, you can do so. It's odd that unlike wooden trains, not every piece has a plug and socket. The straight parts will mostly fit, but the angled parts are more likely to be male on both ends or female on both ends. There are also a few straight and angled pieces that you can use to change the length or degree of curvature, which is important as they "just don't work with all playsets".
