Great performance for the price - beats my $59 engraver

I sometimes do engraving work (custom pistol breeches, commemorative coins), so I already have a few tools on my belt for that work. Tidalpool's Easy Etcher is now one of my favorite portable engravers. There are many things I like about it including but not limited to: - It has a knobbed rubber grip that is neither too soft nor too hard (which could hurt your hand). fatigue from long engraving sessions). Very convenient!

Fiction! Who knew engraving could be so easy?

I've always had a passing interest in printmaking. There was something about taking something and leaving your own personal touch that got me excited. However, it was only a week ago that I decided to buy an engraver and start using it. Let me tell you that this was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. First, they are very easy to use. I expected a learning curve with all sorts of settings to take care of and you need to read the manual to understand how to use it. Not the case…

An engraver as easy to use as a pencil

I was looking for an engraver that was easy to use and not bulky. I have a Dremel and Bosch multi tool, but they are very cumbersome when I want to do something "delicate" on the material, like write my initials or create a design. I have small hands and feel uncomfortable with them. I tried this engraver mainly because it was very portable and looked like it could easily be held like a pencil.
