I once saw an advertisement in a magazine for moms, then I looked for reviews on the Internet, I decided to buy. I received a certified genuine Sophie which was a relief as there are so many fakes out there. However, this thing is not very durable. My 8 month old is only a month, almost a day, and has a cracked mouth and throat. We don't take it outside and it never gets wet unless you wipe it down when needed. I put this in for my baby because my brothers and I had Sophie when we were kids (we lived in Europe) and I wanted my daughter to have her too! Now that she's teething, she loves them.
