Absolute junk, good for electrical boxes, wiring and fittings

solid wire fits. But when trying to connect a stranded wire from a lamp or in my case from a bathroom exhaust fan. That does not work. The connector's internal clamps prevent the stranded wire from being pushed through to snag. I twisted the wires, folded them in half to make them thicker. Nothing works. Absolute rubbish.

Pros
  • Terminals 18-12 AWG solid (16-12 stranded)
Cons

I always hated using wire nuts, now I don't have to.

later I can't be a stronger spokesman for these wire nuts: I really like using them on solid wire, and thick stranded wire works well too. With smaller stranded wires, the spring tension is too great to overcome; Wago makes other connectors that are better suited.

Pros
  • Connect copper wires faster and more securely
Cons
  • I'll write

Can't handle the load!

I used the 6 pin connector in the box to tie the neutral bundle together. The vacuum in the circuit melted the plastic on the plug and the neutral jumped out of the connection. Back to good old twisting the nuts to make sure there's a good connection between the wires.

Pros
  • Line Glands
Cons
  • No Power

Save time and fingers!

This can and has made replacing sockets and switches a measurable amount of time. I went from wrestling with cables to simply swapping out fans and switches in outlets with minimal fuss. I have an old house with 14g wire for reference. The 14g wire is thicker than the 16g wire in most new homes. This works for 16g wire. I'm just suggesting that it helps to use the thicker wire more efficiently.

Pros
  • Electrical
Cons
  • Damaged

I loved using them way more than I expected.

Change is hard to accept, but it's the new gold standard for wired connectors. They have undergone rigorous independent testing and are proven to be safe when used correctly. They're quick and easy to use and I think they're a bit more compact when boxed. Because the wires are parallel and not bundled, they fold neatly into the back of the box. They are ideal for connecting lamps inside the closed boxes. Many already come with similar connectors - they're fine if they're not so equipped. Fast…
