Huge money savings best on hangers, clamps and flanges

I used this to replace a rusted exhaust manifold flange on a pipe rather than replacing a large section of the exhaust system. So less than $20 versus $1000.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not as greasy as others

Great exhaust and emissions solution

My 2001 Dodge Ram 5.2L engine has rusted exhaust pipe flanges. These repair kits worked great. They are also thicker than factory flanges so I expect them to last longer than factory flanges.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Missing Parts

It fit and worked on my 2001 Highlander link pipe which had a rusty flange. However, I had to run to the hardware store as the flange only came with nuts. My guess is that in the picture there should be screws to hold the two halves together but they were missing.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Discontinued

Good repair flange for 2.25 " exhaust

After some research I bought this product because I couldn't drill out the rusty studs on my catalytic converter. I trimmed the fenders and removed the flange, clamped it and bolted everything together which saved me a few hundred bucks that would have cost a shop.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Minor issues

Walker Hardware Flange 36131

Walker Hardware Flange Repair Kit 36131 was supposed to fit 2-1/4" OD tubing but was more like 2-1/2". I'll buy 2 flanges, an exhaust spring bolt kit and an exhaust pipe gasket for about $70 to reattach my catalytic converter to the exhaust where the flanges rusted on my Ford Ranger I had to drill large holes in the torque converter side flange for the spring bolts to fit properly. The local muffler shop offered me over $900 with taxes and labor since it was a direct fit converter Once I have…

Quick repair with minimal tools

I used this kit along with Flange Repair Kit 36130 to fit a downpipe and catalytic converter on my wife's Honda Pilot. . The drain pipe flange had rusted through and instead of removing the pipes, cutting off the old flanges and welding the pipe together I settled on them. They had enough clearance to reach over the existing flanges. The bolts weren't long enough so I used 3 1/2" bolts with the same thread pitch and a set of washers and nuts to hold them together. Works like a charm with a…

Simple, cheaper, just be mindful of your gear size/selection

These things work great, are easy to use/assemble and make repairs a lot cheaper. The only warning I would like to give and it has nothing to do with the product itself as this is a generic fitting you will need to check your old hardware/spring bolt kit before purchasing. Depending on the installation/replacement direction of the flange to be swapped (I had to use one for both sides of the pipe behind the boiler) the neck of the spring bolt did not go past the threads to match the…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Almost never
