Description of Wallaby 1 Gallon Gusset Mylar Bundle

3 in 1 BUNDLE - Includes 30 7.5 Mil thick, heat-sealable, 1 gallon Mylar bags, 30 oxygen absorber packets (400cc each) and 30 identification sticker labels (1” x 2”). Perfect for pantry items like flour, sugar, rice, freeze dried or dehydrated foods. MAXIMUM PROTECTION - Engineered with an added internal layer of aluminum, which provides superior durability and puncture resistance to keep air and moisture out and the food inside fresh. Made with BPA-free, food-grade and safe materials. RESEALABLE AIRTIGHT ZIPPER - Our stand up pouches have a convenient zipper that can be sealed, opened, and re-sealed. The zipper provides a strong seal for short-term storage and the bag can be heat sealed above the zipper for long term storage. TEN PACKS OF OXYGEN ABSORBERS - Uniquely offered as sets of ten, Wallaby absorbers are packaged and heat sealed closed immediately after production. Never repackaged in order to prevent oxygen exposure and maximize their potency and shelf life. NOTE: Bags may NOT shrink like a vacuum bag when the oxygen has been removed. Absorbers do NOT absorb air; they absorb oxygen which is only 21% of the air. About 1/5 of the air volume will be gone, 4/5 remains no matter how many absorbers are used.

This is by far the best Mylar bag I have ever used.

I bought from another company to realize they are better in every way. Honestly I find 5 gallon bags too bulky. Of course, I'll occasionally use them for buckets filled with the same product, but these 1-gallon bags are infinitely better in every way. They stand upright and are therefore easy to fill. They are MUCH thicker than other brands so they don't break through and seal easily (totally stunned by the person who claims they can't get their hair to seal. One pass with a straightener and…

DO NOT SIT ON IT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These bags came quickly and in great packaging. The bags inside were nice and secure in a second plastic bag. The kit includes mylar bags, oxygen scavengers, and sticker labels, which is good for those just starting out with their emergency pantry. Even a nice gift. The bags are really thick and durable. The zipper closes easily. I love that they stand upright so you can easily pour in rice, beans, oats, etc. Everything you store fits snugly with no mess. The oxygen scavengers were nicely…

Oxygen scavengers not working

I have sealed over 100 bags of the oxygen scavengers that came with this product. I then sealed 50 more with third party absorbers that I bought separately. In all cases, the absorbers were not exposed to the atmosphere for more than a few seconds before sealing. Bags that used third-party absorbers looked like the bag on the left after one day. The absorbent bags that came with this product looked the same as on the right. Since I don't believe bags with defective absorbers actually keep my…

There were high hopes, however.

I started packing beans and rice a week ago. As you can see, the oxygen scavengers they give you are not working. They ship oxygen scavengers in packs of 10. To ensure they perform optimally, I prepare 10 bags, then open the oxygen scavengers, drop each into a bag, quickly squeeze the excess air out of each bag, then quickly zip up. I then use my good impulse sealer to completely seal the bags. If the oxygen scavengers were working, after a day or a week I would see the bags shrink a bit as…

So close to five stars

Why one star less? Zip lock function. We only bought them because we didn't want to put open packages in another container. On paper it seemed practical. But this feature makes sealing packages difficult. There is less room for error, and if you make a mistake and have to open the package, you have to seal it under the zip, making resealing useless. They work great, but you have to be more careful and precise when sealing, which means more time. If you're making 120 gallons at a time, that…
