Nothing to say except the title. Velcro attached to clean shoes and unfastened after a hike. I think I could super tape it, but these gaiters only reduce mud intake by about 30%. But these are nice looking gaiters, they match my gray boots and at least keep them secure while hiking. If they made XS, I'd be there.

Impressed, I was skeptical about the strap/velcro. No longer. I've used them on two sections of the Hayduke Trail, it doesn't get any rougher. The first section had literally 2.5 miles of beaver dams, quicksand and waist deep water. The tape held the whole time and another 100 miles after that. He started peeling off one of the corners, but it was enough to hold on. I'm sure it will stand up to any "normal" sand hike.

These leggings were purchased for our hike to the Grand Canyon. Didn't put the velcro on and it still worked wonders. My wife had the Outdoor Research version with the strap on the sole and was more annoyed that the strap kept coming loose. And that for half the price. I can't argue against its durability with abrasion or water resistance. Feels like getting caught in a downpour would help a lot. I must add that I wore a size L over a Salomon 4d Quest (size 11) and had plenty of room.
