only lasted 45 days

I bought this because it was NSF certified for you in a commercial kitchen, lasted about 45 days, stopped working, the bottom of the unit opened , found a bad wire, shorted it, connected correctly, now it works.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • I'm worried

Warning I bought 2 of these so I would do it.

Beware I bought 2 of these to have a spare for my shop. I use it for heating oil, not heating, heating barley to 120f. The large burner stopped heating after about a year and my reserve lasted for 2 weeks. So much for trying to buy quality and being prepared.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Not bad but...

But it's one of the best.

In general I like this burner a lot. This is the third Waring I have bought over the years as they fade over the years with daily use. This one heats up quickly because it's new. My only concern is cleaning it up if food spills onto the surface. If it gets too hard, you'll need more than one sponge to scrape it off.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Good cooking is best in the kitchen and dining room

This burner is built for heavy use! I am a cannery and have run a fully loaded autoclave on the side of the large burner for about 12 hours a day for 3 consecutive days. It held up well, the burner didn't collapse from the weight, it heated the mold slower than a traditional oven, but once it got hot it was great! Also, I've used it with a cooking pan and the heat was even and it did a great job of cooking! Definitely recommend!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

Heats up very slowly

The hob is light and easy to use. Easy to clean. But it takes forever to warm up. It took almost an hour to boil a large pot of water on a large stove at the highest temperature. Definitely not as hot as a regular top burner. The smaller burner is great for keeping food warm, but no more. I bought it for my pressure autoclave. It won't work for that. But it's enough as an extra hob when I'm entertaining a crowd. I'm disappointed but I'll let it go.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Damaged

Excellent investment! best in kitchen and dining room

I recently moved into a very small apartment that doesn't have a hob or oven and after some research I decided to try the Waring dual burner. I'm glad I did as I can cook almost anything I want: roast, pasta, steak, chicken, etc. The only thing I would recommend is getting a large skillet that works on both burners Can stand - great if you are cooking for more than 2 people. A great investment and highly recommended for anyone needing a stove replacement (although I have to admit nothing beats…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
