Worth the money

Works as described. Make sure you installed correctly. They're hard to screw up, but the plastic is strong and well made. Will definitely buy again if needed.

Pros
  • Weight: 32g Package content: 5 cable glands
Cons
  • Can't remember

Good product, good thread length

At first I thought they were bigger than I wanted, but after assembling them and flipping them over to reveal the last wire hose I would have missed, they looked perfect. I use a 16 gauge extension that I cut to make shrimp lanterns out of PVC/acrylic tubing with LEDs. It took me a long time to figure out what they're called - my first use of cable glands (though I think cable glands are what they are for me ;o)

Pros
  • Material : Plastic; Color: Black
Cons
  • Reliability

but they're as good as they get

Not much to say about the connection/strain relief but as good as it gets. I build guitar amps and hate old voltage suppressors. They're a bit bigger than these, but since I love rearranging things, they're amazing. There is a possibility that the cable will stretch, you may use different sized splices for different sized cables, etc. I use them for other purposes too and they are waterproof, moisture resistant and perfect for any cable application.

Pros
  • Thread Length: 0.35 in/9 mm; Overall Size: 23.5 x 37mm/0.92" x 1.45" (D*H max)
Cons
  • Nothing

This size requires an 11/16 drill bit.

The concept is good for a waterproof electric cable. It's a size 11, which requires an 11/16 bit to make the correct hole, and 11/16 bits are expensive ($18) if you don't already have them. Will provide a tighter, more watertight seal. Size 9 also requires a little over 1/2" I had to buy them in another big range to get a size 7 that would work with the bits I had but I was able to get it for half the price of one Make 11/16" drill bits. Now I have billions, which is something I'll probablyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cable Range: 5-10mm/0.19"-0.39"; Thread O.D.: 17.6mm/0.69in
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

This size requires an 11/16 drill bit.

The concept is good for waterproof cable passage. It's a size 11 that needs an 11/16 bit to make the right hole, and 11/16 bits are expensive ($18) if you don't already have them. A size 7 will work with the 1/2" bit that comes with most kits, but the 7/16" bit will provide a tighter, more watertight seal. A size 9 also requires a slightly larger size than 1/2". I had to buy another large assortment to get a size 7 that would work with the bits I had, but I was able to do it for half the priceโ€ฆ
