Very useful item for complex JBox applications. Nice little article. I have used successfully in several applications.

They are delivered with only two connectors. So you only have a hollow grind. I would not buy them again because of this fact. If you are selling a three socket item, it must have three sockets.

I didn't even know they existed until recently, I've used whole outdoor electrical boxes and sealed feedthroughs and used way more cables than I needed. You only need enough wire to make contact, not much to twist together. I used them on a UDF Outdoor 12-2 Romex which I know is not for its intended purpose. For the other shape at the end I just injected some outer silicone to fill a little extra space to (hopefully) weatherproof it.

I bought this because I damaged the outer extension with a snowblower. I cut out the damaged part and reconnected it to one of them. This worked really well, but don't forget to attach the ends with the compression washers first. When you're done, tighten it very tight. My only complaint is that the terminal screws are weird. They look like some sort of compromise between slotted and cruciform, but neither were as good. I ended up using a small flathead screwdriver from my precision screwdriver

The size of these things (M##) is the tricky part, so they're big enough for your application. I had to go through several pages of similar products to get help. I have switched from 12 ga flat outdoor lighting (9mm x 6mm flat) to 16 ga round (shrink tubing) and fits M16 - 12 ga barely fits in the clamps.
