Description of ๐Ÿ”’ Watts Premier Lead, Cyst, VOC Carbon Block Two Stage Replacement Filter Pack - 1 Count (Pack of 1)

The replacement water filter is designed for use with all standard under sink and countertop home water filtration systems. NSF certified for the reduction of lead, cryptosporidium, giardia, entamoeba and volatile organic chemicals. Includes one 5 micron sediment pre filter and one 1 micron carbon block for a two stage filtration providing clean, clear, great-tasting drinking water. The carbon block filter reduces chlorine taste and unwanted odor for hard and soft water. It is also compatible with the Watts Premier 5SV 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis System (WP500032).

NO WATT FILTER!

This is incorrectly advertised as Watts Filter System Model 560088 and is NOT manufactured by Watts. This is a Chinese counterfeit by C-Max Products. Fragile and smaller than the original Watts filters I bought from Revain last year. Even the supposed "certification" is misleading. The image shows a label that says "NSF Certified" but the product itself says NSF certification only applies to "Material Requirements" and also says "NOT TESTED OR NSF CERTIFIED". So WTF? I am returning this product

The Watts Premier 560088 filter is a great product.

Watts Premier Filter 560088 Great product. This is an inexpensive product that will last a long time. I really prefer this type of filtration system to the swivel faucet style we had years ago. Collapsible cranes broke down after some time. After investing in several versions of the pop up faucet filters, I got smarter and bought the Watts Premier Filtration System. I really noticed that the water tasted much better. Every summer the city flushes the water supply, and you can taste chlorineโ€ฆ

Need your own flow control with current version of this product!

So this is my second time buying this "same" pack from Amazon, I deliberately put quotes because it's a different cartridge that I received last time. As the photo shows, my previous purchase was gray (who cares about color) but the main difference was that it had a flow control hole - see that little hole? This regulates the flow and thus gives the activated carbon filter the ability to absorb impurities. My new blue filter has a huge opening that allows for uncontrolled flow and therefore low

  • So far everything is like
Cons
  • The negative is there

It used to be good, now it's not so good

Watts WP-2 I've been changing filters 7 or 8 times for about 4 years. I had no problems with filters until a few months ago. The filters looked the same, but I immediately noticed that the flow rate increased significantly. It might sound good at first, but it was so fast it didn't seem like the filtering was even happening. Tasting water (compared to tap water) confirmed that there is practically no difference. I later used "filtered" water when brewing beer, and as the water boiled, Iโ€ฆ

Not WATTS, are they good?

Seller's description implies these are OEM Watt replacement filters. As you can see in the photo below, the pre-filter is made by Flow-Pro, not Watts, and is 5 micron (same as OEM). The activated carbon filter is from MAX (MAXVOC-975), not from Watts. The labels state that the 'materials' have been tested and certified by NSF, but have NOT been tested for effectiveness. The OEM carbon filter was 1 micron and this one was 0.5 micron, which concerned me that the flow rate might be lower with aโ€ฆ
