If someone buys this to play movies and the media player doesn't recognize it, or you use it for something else and for some reason something else doesn't recognize it, that's your problem. I dropped the first one - close. Nothing wrong. Nothing big or impressive. But it broke. I said "my fault" and bought another one. After 3 years he died. Shouldn't that take longer than 3 years? At first I thought it was a problem with my Macbook Pro. The disc is no longer displayed in the viewfinder. I would have to go to Utilities > Disk Utilities to find it. Now the Quick Drive test fails and the backup fails. In the end I ended up at Western Digital. I switched to LaCie.

You have an old computer that may fail. who knows when So I bought this little gem to back up all my stuff so I wouldn't lose it when my computer finally died. SUPER easy to use - basically plug and play. some things that appear ready to download to your computer, and then you can easily set how often you want what you have on your computer to be backed up. I was planning to use this disk to backup my MBP. I went through 2 of these last year. They lasted 3 and 8 months, respectively, but stopped suddenly. The disc was bought 2 years ago. Recently it didn't work out, I was tired of making a return for the disk. No return will be accepted as the serial number warns. To make it cheap and low quality there, they stamped the serial number on a yellow piece of tape that quickly faded. I have submitted proof of purchase with the invoice and order. You refuse to buy it. After that, I won't buy any more groceries there.
