Handy little stopper

This stopper gets stuck where the door hinge is. This works for our french doors leading to a screened in porch. I like this stopper more than the floor stopper as we don't have to worry about tripping over it. I love the convenience and it feels sturdy.

did not work in office furniture and lighting

I was very disappointed. I bought a wedge for our stay at the hotel and it didn't work. My husband checked with me in the hotel room and he checked in the hallway. Unfortunately, he was able to open the door very easily. The only thing we could attribute to it was the tiled floor. Keil-er will not "grab" such a floor.

The best door lock!

This is the only doorstop I trust to hold my front door. I have 2 small dogs that like to peek out the storm door but there is a breeze through the house that can slam the door hard so I have never found anything that holds the door securely enough to trust. Other doorstops tend to slide on slippery floors. In this case, the door will be slammed for nothing.

Good for certain scenarios, unfortunately not for me

So that's exactly what it's intended for. But it was designed to keep doors open in burning buildings where the priority is just keeping the door open. On the apartment door to the bedroom, it acts like a wedge that eventually loosens the screws that attach the door to the wall. I stopped using it because my toddler kept pushing on the door and approaching some property damage. Seems like a good product just not what I need for my scenario.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • There are nuances

This wedge (may) break.

I use them 2-3 times a week to clean office buildings to keep doors open. They work well (but) if you place this incorrectly on the hinge of a heavy door, the door will crack. How do I know? I broke one last night. I need this for my work. I have 3 of these and use them all in one place. So I paid for a replacement. They work, but you have to be careful with them. Place them properly into the door hinge and let the door gently push against it. The price is too high to keep buying replacements.

Where have you been?

Update 7/1/19: Just received the fourth one. Accidentally left 3 with customers. There were no problems at all in using them. I noticed that one reviewer said it broke. I could imagine it breaking when used as a hinge and someone pushes the door, that would be a lot of force. However, mine were fine in all three positions and on all soil types. Interestingly, some people find that it has more rubber on one side and that side appears to be touching the ground. Common sense? I'm not sure.…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Best Door Wedge Ever

At work we have one of those self-closing doors with the power of 10 angry kids. We've used a typical rubber doorstop to try and hold it open, usually to no avail. Even a few rubber doorstops wouldn't keep it open. He originally had a wall mounted door hanger which he pulled out of the wall! This is a real problem as a lot of things roll through the door. Bought the WEDGE-IT after a bit of googling and, no kidding, just slipped it under the door and it was safely open. No fuss, no fuss, slipped

Works well where others don't

I've tried the FatIvan before but it didn't fit the front door from the garage to the A house. This is a large metal door with hinges that have an automatic closing feature built in. This results in the hinge diameter being larger than that of a traditional interior door. The metal hook on Ivan is not big enough to slip through the loop. This one glides well. I find that some people complain about breaking at the top of the "U" that goes through the loop. I could see how that could happen. It's
