There are better ones, but 5 times more expensive!

I was working on sawing a motorcycle frame and noticed a more stable arc. It and the finish don't look like the available clear pyrex glass, but it's serious money for something unique. If you have expendable income, go the high dollar route, if not, it's decent.

Pros
  • Welding and soldering
Cons
  • not reliable

Reduce shielding gas

I had never used a gas lens assembly in a TIG torch but immediately realized I had to turn the regulator off from 12cfm. up to about 8 cubic feet per minute. When I was at my local weld shop I noticed they were selling the exact same ones just at a higher price. The narrower and wider gas column provides a longer tungsten lead that compensates well for larger torch cups. I doubt I'll go back to the standard collet in my TIG setup.

Pros
  • TIG welder
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

You are lucky if they arrive on time.

These parts look nice and shiny and undamaged in the description picture but this is not what you get in the post. Mine arrived with some mug chips. They look like they've been through hell with footprints everywhere. They will be shipped in a single plastic bag in a bubble mailer, totally unprotected. Is this an amateur lesson? Shipping ceramic parts in this form is not acceptable. From the intact parts they look cheap but functional. I would give 4-5 stars if the shipping was better.

Pros
  • welding machine
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
