I used this for a hike in the Andes. It did a great job of keeping my teeth clean and the toothbrush rinsed out easily with boiled and bottled water. My mouth felt fresh after use. It's a great eco-friendly alternative to fluoride. It didn't seem to do much to keep my teeth WHITE, just clean which was all I needed. This toothpaste is BETTER than any other I've tried. I've been all over the map. over-bleaching, etc. This toothpaste has the expected salty, grainy feel, but you'll love it after the first try. This makes your teeth feel fantastic. I have a bad taste for sweets, there is this layer of film that leaves sweets or cakes. Whitens teeth visibly! What I don't like is that there is no factory seal under the cover. I don't like that in an aluminum tube. I emailed the company about this and they stated that the aluminum tube is coated so it doesn't come into contact with the actual product. This stuff gets the job done and in my experience is quite comparable to Burt's Bees toothpaste which I like for the lack of additives. However, Burt really doesn't know how to pack and this causes a huge mess.
