✏️ Weller PL111 Black 03 Pencil, plated version Review

I have an old Radio Shack 25w iron that I have used since 1977. I like it, I'm used to it. I bought this on faith as it looked like the right tip. That is, the last peak lasted 44 years. i think i am good

I have a RadioShack soldering iron and the tip on it was in poor condition making it difficult to use. After some research I found out that this model should fit my soldering iron. Indeed, and now I've been able to use it multiple times, and it's much nicer to have a tip that doesn't have a missing piece. This nib is a good size although a little oversized for finer work. I have to do this, or maybe my skills aren't what they should be.

Man. I'm very glad I found this spike on Revain! I have an old Archer soldering iron that is at least 20 years old if not older, and finding replacement tips for this thing is like looking for a needle in a haystack. OK. I only use one of these domed metal razor glasses after each use to clean the tip. I only had to tin the tip ONCE. It just works and stays clean. EXCELLENCE!
