FIRE HAZARD! Best in Electricals

I've been using this on my tree all winter and have only had trouble with the remote control (the battery wasn't always making good contact). I randomly chose to use this for a lamp and I found that the lamp flickers. Then the outlet started sparking inside and outside the box. then smoked. I unplugged it before it caught fire but if it were on my tree and I wasn't in the room it could do serious damage to the house. BUYER BEWARE, NOT WORTH THE RISK.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE - The RF signal works up to 100 feet, around corners, through walls and doors, creating an outlet for remote lights and more. With auto pairing, you can control multiple devices with a single remote control switch.
Cons
  • I'll add later

Bought 2. One for Samsung TV because every time we get an update it loses connection with our PC security cameras. Instead of getting up and reaching for the TV's plug to unplug it and plug it back in for it to start searching for a PC, we just press the buttons on the remote control. The other is for outdoor lighting in my shop so I can turn it on 120 feet away from home. Unfortunately, the wonderful motion sensor on the LED lights sometimes doesn't turn the damn thing off.

Pros
  • Control any indoor unit - This wireless remote power off system allows you to remotely control indoor units with the push of a button. Ideal for lamps, fans, Christmas lights and more. Compatible with LEDs.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Remote Control for Cabinet Lights

We needed a light in the closet and the caretaker said he had to open the wall and run electrical wires to the outside wall to put a switch to turn the light on and off. There was an outlet in the closet, so I bought a lightbulb and this device. I plugged the unit into an outlet, hung the light on the unit, and hooked the remote control since the keychain is attached to it. So when someone enters the closet, we grab the remote control and turn on the light, and when we're done, we turn it off…

Pros
  • Discreet and portable. The receiver is small enough to be hidden behind furniture and placed in tight spaces. The wireless remote includes a handy key fob so it can travel with you - turn on the lights before you even step through the door.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
