The metallic and black trimmings were beginning to wear off, leaving bright white stains when I first put them on. I just tried painting it in pure black to hide it. Apparently the white is some kind of acrylic paint and it came from the alcohol in the paint. The belt can still be worn but cannot be dyed. Also, it's a weird leathery fibrous material that will most likely fall apart if I try to restore it with real leather conditioner and paint.

I got what I paid for. Advertisements for real leather, no matter what cow the leather is from, something is wrong with it because it's not real leather. We can say that the belt will not last long. It's very fragile. The snaps are ok, but after a few uses the strap doesn't hold up well anymore.
