Westinghouse Halogen Bulb

This is exactly the bulb I need for this particular ceiling light. It emits good light and its predecessor has survived several years in a lamp that is used every day.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Lamps only last a few hours or a few days

Unlike the more expensive name brand lamps you can find in local stores these only lasted me a few hours or a few days. Eventually I went back and bought a genuine Westinghouse from Home Depot and I was good to go again. I will not try these cheap options again. YMMV

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The bulbs only last a few hours or a few days

Unlike the more expensive name brand bulbs you can find in big stores these only lasted a few hours or a full year . a few days for me. Eventually I went back and bought a genuine Westinghouse from Home Depot and I was good to go again. I will not try these cheap options again. YMMV

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons

Cheaper alternative, shorter lifespan than Home Depot

I bought two of these 1 year 10 months ago. They just burned out (coincidentally 3 weeks apart) so I took 2 more 3 months ago. The lamps cost about half as much as those previously purchased from Home Depot which lasted about 3 years which ended in washing. The main reason I still buy them? Convenient ordering at Revain. When installing, be careful not to hit the glass (similar to headlight bulbs). Oil on skin shortens the life of a lightbulb.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
