My electrician was impressed with the construction of this wand. After light sanding, it is very easy to paint matt black. Matches perfectly with our new 52" ceiling fan.

This is a tube with holes and threads. he fits But it is very slightly off-white, so light but noticeably different in hue and luster than another manufacturer's fan.

Some feedback requests are so dumb. I liked it because it was the color I ordered, white, because it was the length I ordered, 18 inches, and because it screwed correctly for the right connection. I used it to attach a fan to the ceiling.

Can't believe I had to order this from inventory for my fan. hd doesn't wear them! Anyway it was perfect, the right color and delivered very quickly. amazon.com is great for finding such articles, books, and specialties.

Make sure you know what type of rod you need. This is threaded and it should be snug to keep the fan from wobbling. The fan is unthreaded and the rod provided simply fits and a screw is inserted so a threaded rod will not work. Also no returns!
