Save me >$100 (YAMAHA thr 10ii + WESTSHELL 1 KEY)

I bought this Westshell wireless guitar system with a Yamaha THR 10II (priced at $299). The combo is over $100 cheaper than the THR 10II WL ($449)! The Westshell system and Yamaha combo worked on the first try. Thank you Westshell for developing a product that now makes my THR 10II base wireless!

Pros
 • Good product for the price
Cons
 • Frequency

No delays, I'm impressed!

I almost expected to get a noise interference braking device but I was surprised to find that this is an excellent quality product. There was no noticeable audio lag, nor was there any audio glitches. I'm an amateur guitarist and still learning so I can't fully comment on the technical details, but for me this is a big step up over wired guitars. Happy with this purchase!

Pros
 • This is amazing
Cons
 • Ugly packaging

Best Choice in Each Category

I needed a wireless guitar setup that offered the lowest latency, reasonable battery life, and accurate sound quality. Before this kit I tested/bought many similar kits and always something was missing. Size, connector angle, slight noise, etc. This is the first kit in the sub-$60 price range that fully met my expectations. Ideal wireless solution for intensive daily use. And you always know exactly how much battery power is left. In my opinion the best choice.

Pros
 • Hands-Free Operation
Cons
 • Minor Issues

Looks like a cable

At least for the bass I didn't notice any difference in the sound with a good cable and there is no noticeable lag. For flexibility, order a second set at the same time - this means that the effect device can also be separated from the amplifier and/or have two basses on one receiver for easy switching. My main bass has an angled plug and it barely fits. For this bass I might start using it with an extension and just wish the extension had a straight plug instead of a square one. But good value

Pros
 • Stylish and modern design
Cons
 • Almost everything is fine

Latency lowers fast arpeggios

Liked: Quality seems good, well thought-out ergonomics, good cable and charging function (USB-based, you need a real charger). I play some fast stuff, like Alvin Lee's 1969 Woodstock workshop Goin Home, and the arpeggios keep dropping out. I sent them back after a few hours of play. I've been through a couple of non-dropout modeling amps with the cable attached. The claimed 20ms delay shouldn't be noticeable. I will try the more expensive version next time. There's no reason you can't get a…

Nice wireless guitar and bass system

This is my first wireless guitar system but it worked great right out of the box. The transmitter and receiver units were supplied fully charged by the manufacturer. The sound quality was perfect and so easy to use. I can't comment on the battery life as I only used it for about three hours on the day of delivery. The user manual says you can connect one transmitter to multiple receivers, but I found on their website that you can't just buy additional receivers. This product is only sold in…

Works well enough for most groups.

This wireless guitar system is easy to use and performs well in all basic functions. Bandwidth and dynamic range are sufficient. Battery life is good, and it's fairly immune to interference. My issue is the constant white noise (hiss) which isn't there when using a cable, but then again there's no hum. So it's probably a win. In any case, white noise is most noticeable in headphones because most guitar amps don't actually reproduce the frequencies associated with noise. Another small complaint…

Amazing Quality for $50

This is by far the simplest wireless system imaginable. Connect it to an amp or effects unit. Connect it to your guitar. Press one button at a time for a second or two. Wait for the indicator to stop flashing and play. It works great with Steinberger Spirit Pro passive pickups, Carvin DC-400 active pickups, Epiphone EJ-200 SCE active acoustic pickups, and Ibanez Artcore 93ME semi-hollowbody passive pickups. I don't have bass so can't test this, but I assume it works just as well. Latency less…
