Had to use clear tape over it as the tape stuck all over. I've used it on a foam base and cardboard and had the same lift. If you don't mind the extra step of adding a band at the top, go for it. It's for aesthetics, not functionality.

I must have missed something in the description because I didn't expect it to be transparent. I wanted to use it on the wall as a line of light between two colors, but both colors showed through the tape. Poorly. The color tends towards gold rather than rose gold. But the tape is of decent quality. I'm just not sure what I would ever use it for.

Have used this on many projects and have been very happy with the results. It's transparent and very thin, so keep that in mind. It's not as thick as sticky vinyl or tape. Maybe more on par with Mylar wrapping paper. It doesn't hide any major imperfections and it can be a little tricky to get a smooth, bubble-free finish, but it's a lovely rose gold color, almost coppery, and is fairly easy to swap out without cracking.
