I'm ashamed to admit it, but reading all the reviews about being too small I assumed people weren't used to the metric or didn't pay enough attention to the size ordered. I was wrong. I ordered 5mm and I'm pretty sure I got 4mm. if I am charitable no matter which box is ticked. I have many 5mm. Hairpins, I'm sure. Since they charge more for plus sizes, it looks like a scam.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I ordered 5mm and they are a good size; not too small where they look like child size earrings and not too big where the earlobe protrudes a lot. I wear them everywhere, even in the shower and in bed at night, and I haven't had any discomfort or damage to the earrings. I needed 14k gold to help my sensitive ears and I couldn't refuse the price! I ordered the white gold to match my other sterling silver jewelry and they look amazing!

size 4mm is very beautiful and versatile. The pins on the rivets are a bit smaller (about 1-2mm shorter) than the other Revain jeweler earrings, but I really like them. The pins are still long enough to cover the earrings, but the earrings are more comfortable - they don't bump me when I sleep in them. So they are exactly what I was looking for.
