Whitmor Regular

I love Whitmor products. I am an elderly woman with mobility issues. I can still assemble all the Whitmor products I buy myself. Your instructions and parts breakdown are some of the best I've seen. We have noticed that some customers are reporting that parts are missing. Sometimes Whitmore will pack two different parts together in one package for ease of assembly. The numbers of both parts are indicated on the sleeve of the bag. Many thanks to Whitmore for the excellent product manufacture…

While the posts feel solid, the "sleeves " are very thin plastic

This is rubbish. While the bars appear solid, the "eyelets" are very thin plastic and will NOT snap together - they are too small to fit around the bar. Yes, I have read and followed the instructions. If the sleeves converge on one side, they don't connect on the other. There were only a few "plastic cups" in the kit and most of the ones that were present were broken. No wonder, because they were hardly thicker than a plastic bag. I can't imagine how this mechanical setup could ever support its

Good storage and organization shelf

I know some reviewers have expressed issues with the quality of this shelf. Mine came in a large brown box with a shelf bin inside. Despite this, the box of the shelf was worn (see photo), BUT... the shelf itself was in perfect condition. Several others have commented on the difficulty of assembling it or the need for more than one person to do the job. Well, here's my story. After everything was unpacked, I tore open the box and took it to a large trash can. The total elapsed time is twenty…

you are doing great work - Storage and organization

We haven't had them for a long time but so far I'm really liking these shelves. They were easy to assemble (even alone). I followed the advice I read to install the bottom shelves before connecting the posts to make them longer. I think it helped, but I'm sure there is another way. I had no trouble snapping the connectors into place. I simply placed a piece of plastic where I wanted it on the pole and then clicked another piece of plastic to the side of the first piece and then closed it. Both…

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • I don't have much animosity about it, everything is fine

This is the third and last Whitmore product I will purchase. The other two purchases were freestanding clothes racks and they didn't match, let alone hold clothes. Gave them back. This rust is just as bad if not worse. Metal is fine, but you must put a connector sleeve around each metal post, and the sleeves are too small to fit together. They are also not strong enough to hold anything. I used them and glued and taped them to hold the shelves together. I put shelves in the basement to store…

Very easy to assemble, works great

Perfect solution to my shed storage problems! I had a good bunch in my shed to the point where I couldn't open the door all the way. Pooh. I assessed the space and gave a "best guess" when ordering this storage rack, it turned out to be the perfect storage space! It was very easy to assemble and move, I did it myself as a single woman with almost no muscles. Weight. It is very light and yet surprisingly durable. I put it back in its place and started loading garbage. I put heavy items (like…

Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Purchased 3 free standing steel wire shelving units from 2 manufacturers to fit 2 cabinets. All delivered in good condition, no defects or missing parts. Each had an extra pair of plastic bushings. Each unit was easy to assemble; all that was needed was a tape measure, a rubber mallet, and a torpedo level. The weight of all units was more than adequate for my basement living space. Whitmor Supreme shelves were stronger; with 1" diameter posts, thicker leveling hardware, thicker metal bushings…

Versatile and durable for home, garage and patio

I have 9 different sizes of Whitmor wire shelving in my home and garage of various sizes. (Obviously I love them!) I bought these four tiers for my home office. I have a narrow (less than 20" wide) space in the corner between a closet and a wall. I had a filing cabinet in front of this shelf, but I was never able to utilize the height of the room until I placed this wire. Frame.------------------------------------------------ ------WHY I LIKE WHITMOR WIRE SHELVING1. It's well done. 2. The…
