For a $20 bill, this is a great investment in a closet. I use it as a purse shelf (top shelf). And a shelf for shoes on the remaining shelves. The assembly was so easy that I had to write a review. I was hoping for the quality expected from a Whitmor product. This is why I spent so much time aligning the pins in the holes. Eventually they didn't. Aside from hammering in the pins to allow them to line up, I chose not to break them (I mean the ends of the shelves that should go in the holes as pins - they are not separate from the shelf itself) .
