bad design: drywall anchor

The tips are straight, the ones I've used in the past are spiral to start drilling. They're useless, even if you drill a pilot hole the tip won't splinter, just break out of the wall. Too bad I didn't pay attention to this when buying, now it's too late to return it.

Not like the picture - they need a square drive (not Philips)!

I was pleased to receive several anchors at a reasonable price. Too bad they don't have the standard Philips screwdriver that everyone has on hand. You will need a square blade screwdriver to install them. 😠 I will definitely send them back!

  • Fasteners

Great quality but buy the correct screws

They work very well as long as you use a #2 cross except for installation. I've heard complaints about cleaning the groove, but that's probably due to using an oversized Phillips bit. (I know because it's happened to me!) While it's not necessary, drilling a pilot hole helps as the final set is much cleaner and flush with the wall. hang something! I recommend an #8 x 1" screw for most applications, and longer for parts farther from the wall. Standard stainless steel screws can also work…
