I bought one of these a year or more ago so I know it will work as intended - signal with different sunlight. Used simply as a backup signal in case of a problem when there is no other way to signal.

Great addition to cross country bags and kits. Simple, lightweight, and $4 as an add-on. It is recommended to leave the transparent film on the mirror as it is easily scratched.

The key fob is about half the size of most nautical key fobs. The whistle works, but the plastic feels brittle and can break easily. The mirror is normal, the size of a catalog card.

According to other reviews, this is a cheap product that scratches easily. But since it's mostly in the box and rarely comes out, I'm fine with that. I put mine in a ziplock bag to protect it a bit. The whistle is also quite loud. This is a signal mirror, not something you're going to hang in the bathroom.

This is an advertisement that it floats so I bought it. It can swim but will likely break and by the time you need it you won't have it anymore. When he arrived he was already covered in scratches, like someone had picked him up off the cement floor after kicking him all day. Save money and buy thick metal spreads that won't break on eBay. Extra cheap, it's like a child's toy. will not put it in my package.

No questions asked what I got was worth what I paid. The whistle is pretty loud. Both the whistle and the bobber are painted a "safe" orange color and appear to be quite durable. The mirror is slightly damaged around the edges, but it's flat and I think it will reflect signals adequately. It's definitely good for a little camp maintenance. All in all not the best set but worth the price and good enough for my backpack.
